Compare PPA Offers From The UK's Top Commercial Installers

Business Solar UK works with one funding partner and one installer, rather than a marketplace of competing firms. Your assessment compares your PPA rate and the other three ways to pay against your own bills, so you can see exactly where the best value sits for your building.

INICIO, part of the Pharaoh Capital energy group, funds every PPA. Solar4Business surveys, designs and installs the system.

Immediate Savings, Zero Capital Outlay

You pay for the electricity, not the equipment

A PPA isn't a loan, it's a different way to buy your power. INICIO funds the entire solar project, and you simply purchase the clean electricity it generates at a rate set out in your contract - fixed or on an agreed escalator - typically lower than the grid.

You get the savings and the sustainability benefit from day one, with no capital outlay, while INICIO funds the system, Solar4Business installs it and maintenance is covered for the length of the agreement.

Hedge Against Volatile Energy Prices

A rate set out in your contract for the length of the agreement

Wholesale energy markets have been unpredictable for several years, and that volatility makes forecasting difficult. A PPA locks in your electricity rate for the term of the agreement, so a chaotic cost line becomes a stable, known one.

Why Partner With Us?

We assess your business for a PPA and introduce you to the two partners who deliver it: Solar4Business, who install, and INICIO, who fund it.

Hedge Against Volatility

A contracted rate, agreed before you sign, protects you from sudden price shocks in the wholesale market.

Reduce Operating Costs

Buy your electricity below the grid rate, with no equipment to fund.

Achieve ESG Targets

Generate low-carbon electricity on site, with the figures to evidence it.

Zero Maintenance Worries

INICIO maintains the system for the length of the agreement.

Long-Term Budget Certainty

Your rate is fixed for the agreement term, up to 25 years.

Turn Your Roof Into an Asset

Unused roof space becomes a source of cheaper power instead of a cost.

Enhance Your Brand Image

Show customers and staff a genuine, on-site renewable energy commitment.

FAQs

Solar PPA FAQs

What is a solar PPA?

A power purchase agreement is one of four ways to pay for commercial solar. Our funding partner INICIO pays for the system on your roof, which Solar4Business installs, and its maintenance is covered under the agreement. You buy the electricity it generates at an agreed rate per kWh, typically below the grid price. There is no capital outlay.

Who owns the panels on a PPA?

INICIO owns the system for the length of the agreement, which can run for up to 25 years. Your contract sets out the rate, any rate changes, maintenance cover and what happens at the end of the term.

Does a PPA save money from day one?

Yes, on suitable sites, because there is no upfront cost to recover. Your saving depends on the agreed rate against your current tariff, and how much of your daytime demand the system can meet, which your assessment models against your own bills.

Who installs and maintains the system?

Solar4Business surveys, designs and installs every system. Maintenance on a PPA is covered by INICIO for the term of the agreement.

What sites suit a PPA best?

A large roof and high daytime electricity use suit a PPA best, since the agreement is funded against the value of the electricity the system generates. Smaller or leased sites are not always suitable; your assessment tells you either way.

What if we don’t qualify for a PPA?

Not qualifying for a PPA doesn’t rule out solar. We also model buying outright, hire purchase and switching your current tariff, so you still get a recommendation.
